Friday (2/3)

Weather Cold and 25 MPH winds!

Travel Day: Easy but early. 5 am driver pick-up, flight 10am arrival 10:49 et.

Checked into the Best Western Plus (O'Donnell st.) early. Kathryn had to work the afternoon so I just watched a movie. At 3PM I met Diane in the lobby then saw David, Alex, Sarah, Steve and Sandy as they arrived at the hotel around 4PM.

In the evening we Headed Mahaffey's Pub in the Canton neighborhood where Mickey and Allie were hanging out with appetizers! Enjoyed seeing everyone (Mickey, Allie, Tim, Steve, Sandy, Diane, David, Alex, Sarah, Mickey and Allies friends and Mickey's Mom (Chris), sister and brother in-law) at the bar.

Saturday (2/4)

WeatherCold and 15 mph wind!

Ran across Steve and Sandy at breakfast and made plans to go to Inner Harbor. Took the hotel courtesy van to Inner Harbor and went to the National Aquarium which was amazing but very crowded.

After the museum we went to Phillips Seafood for lunch Steve had fish and chips, Sandy had shrimp, Kathryn had the Seafood trio and I had the fish sandwich. All were tasty.

Then we walked around Inner Harbor and up to Federal Hill. In addition to the aquarium there is a hands on Science museum, lots of places to shop and eat it and some old ships docked in the harbor. The 1944 submarine USS Torsk, which was the last US submarine to sink an enemy ship in WWII, the USS Constellation a sloop-of-war ship and the last sail only ship built by the US Navy in 1855 and, the USCG Cutter 37, previously call the USCG Taney, a huge coast guard ship that served from 1936 to 1986. Inner Harbor is a great part of the city.

Saturday night was the main event and it was a suprise! Mickey and Allie had not gotten married as they had alluded too and got married this night! Congratulations! They served food and an open bar so I got a chance to sample the local favorite beer National Bohemian (NatiBoh). It was a nice night visiting with everyone and enjoying the food and beer. Uber back to the hotel around midnight.
